CASH FORMAT FINALIZED FOR PJ1 $25,000 SUMMER SIZZLE!
Holland, Ohio — The hottest Karting event of the Summer Season, "The PJ1 $25,000 Vegas Summer Sizzle Presented by Grand Prix Distributing" to be contested at the fabulous XPlex on the night of September 17, 2005, just reached the boiling point!
One of the most exciting features of the Spectacular, “Dash for Cash” events in all 3 classes (TaG ICC/Pro Moto, ICA) have been fine tuned and the format finalized.
All dash for cash events will be ten (10) Green Flag Laps in duration, and grid position will be determined by a one lap, single Kart, qualifier, race trim... No changes (with the exception of tire pressure) will be allowed after qualifying!
The financially lucrative events will pay back 75% of all entry fees to the winning Kart in all categories... Second place pays nothing.
In addition, the fast qualifier will have the option of relinquishing his/her pole position and starting from the rear of the field... Doing so, if successful will reward the gamblers spirit (this is Las Vegas after all) with an additional 10% in prize money.
According to Grand Vitesse Racing's General Manager, Glen Mazzone the "Dash" events could be the highlight of the race..."Dash for cash events are always exciting...It is sprint racing personified...To the victor go the spoils, everyone else simply loses, he quipped"
Mr. Mazzone continued "With a full field expected, and the possibility of the fast qualifier starting in the rear, you have a formula for ferocious action.....
And, whoever emerges successfully goes home {or back to the Casino} with a big wad of CASH!"
The PJ1 $25,000 Summer Sizzle Presented by Grand Prix Distributing is the largest purse, single day karting event of the 2005 Summer Season. The event is scheduled for September 17, 2005, with all feature events running at night, under the lights, in the cool night air of the Mojave Desert!
In addition to the dash events, large purse, feature races will be contested in Karting's 3 premier classes TAG (a Two Hour timed event with 2 or more drivers per team), ICC/Pro Moto (a 25 lap sprint event and ICA (also a 25 lap sprint race). Competitors need not enter main events to contest Dash For Cash Races.
Located on the world's most exciting street, Las Vegas Blvd., the XPlex is a world class karting facility, with a wide, smooth track surface and excellent lights for night racing.
