BURRIS CIRCLE TOUR TOP FIVE SEPARATED BY 37 POINTS AT MID SEASON

Rockford, Illinois — Midway through the season, a shuffle at the top of the Burris Circle Tour Overall Points chart finds Champ F200 Jr. 3 driver Max McNamara in the lead. He holds a slim 1-point lead over Senior Lite driver Aaron Katzenberg. The rest of the top 5 include Sr. Lite driver Nick Chiapetta, Champ F200 Jr. 3 driver Rachael Pinkerman, and a pair of Jr Sportsman Champ drivers. The result are so close there is a tie for 5th between Brent Edmonds and Sean Clavey.
The Senior drivers were featured in the Sr. Sprints on July 31st with Dave Terrafino, J.J. Adams and Tom Flores crossing the finish line side by side. Adams and Terrafino swapped the top spot on the white flag lap with Terrafino sling shotting by for the victory.
Aaron Katzenberg won his 4th feature of the year in Sr. Lite, adding the Sr. Sprint title to his win at the Burris Twin 50’s. Tyler Peterson and Nick Chiapetta finished second and third respectively.
Other top finishers included Matthew Hottinger with his first feature win of the year in Jr. 3, Mike Flores- Jr. 2, Brent Edmunds – Jr. Sportsman Champ, Dylan Barbosa – Champ F200 Jr. 2, Austin Archdale – Champ F200 Jr. 3, Brad Becker – Champ F200 Sr., Joey Flores- Kid Karts, Mavrick Piller – Kid Kart Champ Karts, Mike Terrafino – F200 Sr.
This week marked the return of the INEX sanctioned Legends and Bandolero Cars. Michael Bilderback won the Legends Race and is currently in seventh place in the national points hunt for the Semi-Pro Asphalt Class. Ernie Schaal finished second in this week’s race and 14th nationally out of over 600 participants. Michael Cooter was tops in the Bandolero feature. The INEX cars will be joining the karts on the Burris Circle Tour several more times in 2005.
The Nortown Automotive Champ Kart Classic is the next event on the Burris Circle Tour, scheduled for August 14th at Rockford (IL) Speedway.
