STARS NATIONALS TO BE HELD IN AT IRON ROCK RACEWAY
Seattle, Washington — The National Finals for the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by the IRL will be held at the brand-new Iron Rock Raceway in Austin, TX from October 14-16 it was announced today. The track will be run under a new configuration so as to ensure a fair playing field for all teams and drivers.
“While we regret that we had to wait this long to announce the location of our finals as we know that our competitors have to plan ahead of time, we hope they understand we were trying to take advantage of an opportunity to combine with our IRL partners in Fontana, but due to certain age restrictions in connection with the event we couldn’t make the event happen. Fortunately though, Rich Phillips and the people at Iron Rock Raceway have a first rate facility and city to welcome us for our finals,” stated series president Paul Zalud.
Rich Phillips of Iron Rock Raceway was excited to have such a high profile event in his first year of operation, “To have the finals of the top series in North America in our first season is just incredible for us, I know we will have a track and facilities that the series and its competitors will be pleased with.”
