FIRSTKART.COM SCORES THREE BEARS AND ONE CRYSTAL CUP

Guelph, Ontario, Canada — With two prestigious events being held on the same weekend, FirstKart.com drivers managed to garner three OKRA Grand National Bears, one Crystal Cup of Canada and sixteen podium results.

Leading the charge at the Honda Crystal Cup of Canada was Junior Lite driver Neelan Nadesan who scored a convincing victory. Neelan would then travel to Mosport hunting for a bear but was involved in a first corner accident that ended his chances. Other FirstKart.com drivers scoring podium results in Shannonville were Eric Barrett in 5th (Rotax Senior) and Lucas Smith with a 2nd and 4th (Junior Heavy and 80cc Junior).

ICC driver and FirstKart.com’s newest team member Matt Pritiko finished 3rd in Sunday’s action in Shannonville after winning the bear at Saturday’s OKRA Grand Nationals. FirstKart.com controlled three of the first five positions in the Formula Senior class at Mosport with Rookie sensation Daniel Morad coming home in second and Rene Silva in fifth.

Eric Gerrits had a very strong weekend taking the pole and feature win in the Rotax Senior Heavy class by a margin of 22.5 seconds. Looking for his second bear of the weekend, Gerrits qualified pole and won the pre-final of the Rotax Senior race but was involved in a first corner incident that ruined any chances of victory. Gerrits would add two more podium results to his resume with a 2nd in Senior Medium and 3rd in Senior Heavy.

David Ostella captured his biggest win of his young career as he claimed the top podium step with a win in the Formula Junior race. Ostella took the lead at the half way point and never looked back on his way to claim the checkers.

Other podium finishers in Mosport at the OKRA Grand Nationals included Rob Milwain in 5th (Rotax Senior Heavy) and Kevin Montieth 2nd and 3rd in both Junior Heavy finals.

First Kart North America is already planning for the 2006 racing season.
