RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WKA AND RUSSELL KARTING REMAINS STRONG

Concord, North Carolina — The World Karting Association and Russell Karting continue to keep one of the longest standing relationships in karting.
The past few weeks, some issues have surfaced regarding availability of Dunlop Tires from Russell Karting and their distributors. WKA and Russell Karting, together, take full responsibility and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to all our customers.
According to Russell Karting, these issues have been resolved.
“With processes being put in place to ensure the supply issues of the Dunlop Tires do not occur again, Russell Karting will continue to enjoy our relationship with WKA, “ said Jim Russell, Jr, Russell Karting Vice President.
“The World Karting Association takes great pride in our long-standing relationship with Russell Karting. It appears that any Dunlop Tire supply issues have been resolved,” said Randy Kugler, WKA’s President.
WKA is pleased to announce the Dunlop Tire program will remain intact for the balance of the 2005 season in our Horstman Gold Cup, Rage Karts Speedway Pavement, and George Kugler Manufacturer’s Cup Series presented by Bridgestone programs.
Dunlop Tire will not be a spec tire in the WKA national program for the 2006 season; however, Dunlop Tire will be given the same consideration as other manufacturers when establishing WKA’s national spec tire program for the 2007 season.
The complete spec tire program for the upcoming 2006 season will be announced in the near future.
