VINTAGE KART RACE AT BRODHEAD, WISCONSIN IN ‘06

St. Charles, Illinois — It was announced today by former karter Bill McCornack, that he is planning a to hold a Vintage Kart Race and Demonstration at Sugar River Raceway in Brodhead, Wisconsin in 2006. The time and date will be announced later this year.

Sugar River Raceway is virtually unchanged from 1960. Grand National events were held there for both IKF and WKA: 1965-IKF, WKA 1972 and 1981.

Preliminary Rules:

Karts and Engines: 1976 and older

Drivers: 21 years or older

No tire, weight or fuel rules

2 Lap time trials

Classes:

1 – Single Engine – Sidewinder 6.1 cu. in. displacement

2 – Single Engine – Rear engine mount – 6.1 cu. in. displacement

3 – Single Engine – Sidewinder over 6.1. cu. in. displacement

4 – Single Engine – Rear engine mount over 6.1 cu. in. displacement

5 – Dual/Triple Engines (American) rear engine

6 – Dual/Triple Engines (American or Foreign) sidewinder or rear engine.
