FIRSTKART.COM TRAVELS TO RENO
“Bobby Wilson competes in West round #3”
Guelph,
Ontario, Canada — The FirstKart.com race team will once again head across
the country to compete in the third round of the Stars of Karting West Championship
presented by the Indy Racing League, this time to Reno, NV. Joining the squad
in Reno will be ’03 Stars of Karting ICC champion Bobby Wilson as he
will once again challenge for victory.
The ICC class will boast the majority of the FirstKart.com entries as Wilson
will be accompanied by Rene Silva and Nick Maddison as the trio will do battle
in the headline class. Wilson will join forces with ’02 SKI Tuner-of-the-Year
Terry Ventresca providing a potent combination and a threat for victory. Wilson,
who loves temporary circuits, along with Maddison and Silva will all be powered
by SRA TM’s.
British Columbia’s Arly Irish and five-time Colombian national champion
Gustavo Yacaman will do battle in the JICA category. Irish, who is looking
to bounce back after a tough outing in Moran will look to the temporary circuit
for the answer. Yacaman, who had a strong outing two weeks ago in New Castle,
is still looking for his first JICA victory of the year after winning the Rotax
Junior championship in the Florida Winter Tour.
Once again, the FirstKart.com race team will be joined by First Kart designer
Gianni Bianchi. Bianchi will make the trip to Reno to provide some extra support
and chassis set-up advice to all five members of this weekends FirstKart.com
squad.
2005 is going to be an exciting year for the team as First Kart North America
will travel to all East and West coast events in the Stars of Karting Championship,
the World Karting Association Manufactures Cup and the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting
Championship. Arrive and Drive opportunities are available for any interested
parties.
