AMOA INTERNATIONAL EXPO 2005 – THE BEAT GOES ON!

Orland Park, Illinois — Plans are in the works for another great AMOA International Expo this year, scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, September 14-16, 2005 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Again this year, it will be co-located with Fun Expo, so attendees will receive a double-bang for their buck and get a more extensive audience.

AMOA International Expo is a focal point for the industry. You will see the latest new equipment in the trade and be able to network with peers in the coin-op industry. Buyers come from near and far, including Canada, Europe, Mexico, Asia, South America, Central America, and the Middle East. A variety of trades are represented including Amusement Arcade, Amusement Parks, Bars/Restaurants, Bowling Centers, Convenience Stores, Family Entertainment Centers, Miniature Golf Centers and street locations, just to name a few. For those in the coin-op business, this is the show to attend.

There will be aisles upon aisles of new and familiar product lines to experience, in excess of 50,000 square feet of exhibit space! Again this year, buyers can expect to see many Show Specials being offered by AMOA exhibitors. These show specials are fully designed to save Expo attendee’s extraordinary savings on a range of products and services.

The 2005 AMOA Expo Educational Seminar Programwill have a full array of seminars to choose from. And, as always, they are FREE! This popular program continues to grow and continues to enhance the overall experience of attendees because are they are given by industry professionals in the trade. Just some of the great seminars you can anticipate attending are:

Buying and Selling a Route presented by John Hulick

50 Repair Tips presented by Dick Donlon

Self Redemption Equipment-How to Optimize Profits, Moderator and Operator Panel

Indian Gaming presented by Charles Foti, Jr.

Employee Relations presented by Pat Stevenson

Salesmanship presented by Gary Spencer

The Fifth Annual Innovator Awards Program is also in place for this years’ Expo. The goal of these awards is to recognize the efforts of manufacturers and suppliers in bringing exciting, new products to market for the coin-op industry. A panel of operators judges exhibitors’ new product entries. The winning entries will be announced at the AMOA Breakfast and Annual Membership Meeting, scheduled for Thursday, September 15, 2005.

The Wayne E. Hesch Scholarship Program will be held again this year. During the past 20 years, AMOA has been administering this scholarship program, conducted as part of the Association’s Educational Foundation.

Established in 1985 in memory of 1978-79 AMOA President Wayne E. Hesch, the program has bestowed more than 620 scholarshipsto college-age students, including 35 for the 2005-2006 school year. A wide variety of merchandise and prizes will be awarded to lucky show-goers as part of an ongoing series of raffle drawings. This year – one of the grand prizes you can win is a Harley Davidson! Raffle tickets for the Harley can be purchased online at the official AMOA show website, http://www.amoashow.com, at the Hesch Booth,or from one of several AMOA Hesch Scholarship Committee Members on the show floor.

The annual Industry Gala Receptionwill be held this again this year, promising to be better than ever! This annual event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, 2005 from 5:15 – 7:15PM. This year, three beautiful sisters, Kassidy, Kelsi, and Kristyn Osborn, better known as SHeDAISY, will entertain you! Their album, The Whole SHeBANG, sold nearly 2 million copies, making it one of the most successful debut albums by a country act since the Dixie Chicks. This is one Gala Reception you won’t want to miss!

Golfers won’t want to miss the Third Annual AMOA International Expo Golf Classic, scheduled for 12:30 PM on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. Come a day early and enjoy golfing with industry peers! Attendees and Exhibitors are both welcome to attend this special event. This year it is being held at the Las Vegas National Golf Club, one of the favorite courses for many longtime residents of Las Vegas, who remember it when it was the Sahara Country Club. But this course is probably remembered best as the place Tiger Woods had the most difficulty with en route to winning his first professional championship. From the back, the par-71 track measures just 6,815 yards and the par-5s are all reachable in two for the long hitters. From the middle tees, it measures a playable 6,418 and is 5,741 yards from the front. The par-3s are all relatively long, with none shorter (from the back tee) than 182 yards but the teeth of this course, though, is its par-4s.

AMOA International Expo will again be offering a series of raffle drawings for FREE CD jukeboxes! This is open to all AMOA operator members who are 2005 JLO license holders.
