CINDY WIEGAND / AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY TAG™ RACE SPONSORED BY NEW CASTLE MOTORSPORTS PARK, STARS OF KARTING AND BRIDGESTONE TIRES
Seattle, Washington — New Castle Motorsports Park will be hosting a TaG USA™ Senior Money Race to benefit cancer research. The TaG Race will take place during the weekend of the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by the IRL event at NCMP (May 20-22).
The track will be run backwards for the TaG Race, practice will be held following the end of STARS practice on Friday evening (May 20th).
Following practice Friday night there will be a Driver Calcutta for the TaG Race. The driver auction will pay back the top five finishing purchasers of drivers. There will also be plenty of bench racing and the Racer’s Grill at NCMP will be serving dinner.
Qualifying and the feature event will be held Saturday evening (May 21st) following the end of the Snap-on Stars event. There will be single-kart qualifying followed by a 24-lap feature event. There will be payback for the top 5 finishers from a $5500.00 purse (based on 30 entries).
Based on 30 entries payback will be as follows –
Winner - $2000.00
Second - $1300.00
Third - $1000.00
Fourth - $600.00
Fifth - $400.00
Fastest Race Lap $100.00
Fastest Qualifier $100.00
All rules and weights will be TaG USA Senior. YHC Tires only, anyone requiring YHC tires NCMP will be selling sets for $150.00.
Entry fee $150.00, NKA the National Karting Alliance will be comping pit passes for anyone who needs them. We do need a list of names of those who require pit passes; there is room on the entry form. Any questions can be directed to Mark Dismore Sr. 317-462-3413 or info@newcastleraceway.com.
