ICC AND ICA TIRE COMPOUNDS ARE NEW FOR RENO

Seattle, Washington — With the crossover from the old homologation to the new homologation, Stars’ series staff consulted with Kevin Hunley of Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire, LLC and it was confirmed that the new tires are being shipped presently and will be available through all its distributors.  It is recommended that kart shops place orders for their teams with their respective Bridgestone distributor for the new YJB tires.  In order to make sure that all competitors have the new product available for practice at Reno, FOR THIS EVENT ONLY, practice tires can be ordered and delivered  at the Reno  Event by Grand Products.  Pricing on the practice tires is $180.00 per set. Just write on the Stars tire order form accordingly, the maximum quantity of tires is 3 sets under this program. All requests must be submitted no later than May 27.  

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of practice tires will be added to the payout for ICC & ICA classes.

Series chief Paul Zalud wanted to thank Bridgestone with easing the process for competitors, “I’m glad to see Bridgestone working with their distribution network to assist in this transition as well as giving something back to the racers in the prize fund.”

The event at the Reno Hilton will see strong media and corporate support as well as a slew of fun off-track activities that will be available at the Hilton.
