UPDATES TO WKA SPEC TIRE PROGRAM
Concord, North Carolina — Due to the CIK homologation of tire compounds, the WKA and Dunlop Tires are working closely together to have as smooth of transition as possible with the new Dunlop compounds.
We have made updates in the Horstman Gold Cup Series, Rage Karts Speedway Pavement Series, and the George Kugler Manufacturer’s Cup Series regarding the tire compound changes.
Also, as a reminder, 2005 will be the last season under the current spec tire rules. We are starting the process of working with the tire companies for the 2006 – 2008 racing seasons.
Please review the following spec tire list as to the changes regarding the series you may compete in.
As always, it is our desire to give the WKA membership the best karting experience possible. We hope you find these changes are in the best interest of the general karting public.
