Rougemont, North Carolina - Drivers and fans have the opportunity to get more than their fill of motorsports activity April 23-25 during the Spring Nationals for the Vega Speedway Pavement Series at OCR Action Sports Park in Rougemont, NC.
As activities wrap up on Saturday, anyone with a WKA event wristband can make their way over to the neighboring Orange County Speedway to view the PASS Super Late Model Series, and be admitted free of charge. Since the track is within walking distance of the kart track, many can leave their car at the kart track and walk over. If you choose to park at the big track, there will be a $10 parking fee.
The PASS Super Late Model Series recently wrapped up their season opener at Dillon Motor Speedway in South Carolina with 15-year-old Ryan Blaney, son of NASCAR Sprint Cup and former World of Outlaws driver Dave Blaney, securing the win. Other participants on the series include veteran Jay Fogleman, whose son Tate competed in the Speedway Pavement Series event last year at OCR. Former WKA Dirt racer John Stancill has also been a part-time driver on the series, as well as former karting participants Brandon Ward and David Quackenbush
Activities for the Spring Nationals get under way Friday, April 23, with a full day of practice.
