KEVIN HARTER JOINS BRCKS AS KID KART DIRECTOR - March 15, 2010 |
Wampum, Pennsylvania – BeaveRun Championship Karting Series is excited to announce the addition of Kevin Harter to the staff as the Kid Kart Director for the 2010 season. Kevin brings a wealth of experience in the Kid Kart Class including being a competitor, engine builder, shop owner and tech director. Kevin’s work can already be found in the Series rulebook where he has constructed a set of amendments for the class that work in conjunction with the 2010 WKA Tech Manual. Most importantly, he will be responsible for the tech program at each race. Items to be teched will be chosen at the discretion of series Race Director Barry Shenck each week. The 2010 BRCKS season marks the first where the Kid Karts will run as a Championship class with season points and will award a Class Champion. The rulebook and weekly tech will be an integral part of making this program successful. “Kevin has always run a quality program whether it was the family racing team, his karting business (CRP racing) or his travelling customer race program,” noted BRCKS Series Director Dan Schlosser. “However watching his involvement with the growth of the Great Lakes Sprint Series Kid Kart program last year was what really caught our attention. The parents appreciated the level playing field, the kids loved the great racing and the kart counts grew - everything a Series could ask for!” In addition to the black & white world of the rulebook and tech, Kevin will also be involved in helping to make the Kid Kart experience a fun and educational endeavor for both new and existing racing families. With seminars on a variety of topics including Maintenance Basics, Getting Started in Kid Karting and Chassis Tuning for Kid Karts, BeaveRun Kid Kart families will be able to move ahead in the world of karting with confidence and excitement. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to join what I feel is a great team already in place,” commented Harter. “The entry level to the sport is where I believe the most emphasis should be put on developing the driver and ensuring a level playing field. Anytime there are kid karters involved it is sure to be a fun and exciting adventure. I can't wait to get the season started.” 2010 BRCKS Rule Book including Kid Kart rule amendments For more information on the 2010 season please visit www.beaverun.com , call 724.740.1200 or contact via e-mail d.schlosser@beaverun.com For questions about Kid Kart rules and tech please contact Kevin – info@crpracing.com |
