Concord, North Carolina - WKA is pleased to announce Vega Tires as the new title sponsor of the Speedway Pavement Series. The five-race tour will now be tagged the Vega Speedway Pavement Series, beginning with the Spring Nationals season opener April 23-25 at North Carolina’s OCR Action Sports Park.

TS Racing President Tod Spaude commented, “We are happy to continue our support of the WKA national series with the title sponsorship of the Vega Speedway Pavement Series. We look forward to a successful partnership with WKA.”

After Rage Karts respectfully bowed out as the Speedway Pavement title sponsor, WKA immediately found a worthy replacement in Vega Tires, of which the Florida-based TS Racing is the official U.S. importer. Vega Tires has been a backer of various WKA events and series for a number of years and now has increased its level of support as the title sponsor of the Pavement Series.

The Vega Speedway Pavement Series will travel to five tracks in five different states this season. The aforementioned opener at OCR will precede the series’ first visit to Carolina Motorsports Park’s new asphalt oval on June 25-27. The tour’s traditional stop at southwest New York’s Chapel Hill Raceway will go off July 16-18, followed by the race at New Castle (Ind.) Motorsports Park on Aug. 20-22. The 2010 season will conclude with the series’ annual Grand National at Wampum, Pa.’s BeaveRun Motorsports Complex Sept. 24-26.
