  • KART EXPO ANNOUNCES SEMINARS

  • Wheaton, Illinois - This year, per the request of the kart racing industry, Kart Expo International has moved to the Pheasant Run Resort and Convention Center, St. Charles, Illinois (Suburban Chicago) on February 17-18, 2001 For the show, Kart Expo management feels it has assembled one of the most significant seminar schedules for kart racers and the karting industry including one designed especially for race tracks and clubs. This year, and for the first time at any U.S. kart show, Kart Expo will be presenting a significant seminar addressing one of the most important and often overlooked aspects of karting - Race Track Officiating.

The insightful discussion will be headed by internationally renown karting authority and NASCAR safety official Tom Argy Jr. In the seminar, Mr. Argy will take into consideration many important issues including how to properly select and train corner workers, flagging, how to deal with rule infractions and other factors to make kart racing safe and enjoyable for both participants and track officials alike.

This seminar is perhaps important enough for all tracks and clubs to seriously consider sending a representative or two to the show. Clubs and tracks may want to seriously consider getting together a group for karters to see the 9th annual Kart Expo and attend all the other free seminars. In addition to the discussion groups, Kart Expo will have scores of booths with karts and parts from around the world, all in one place at one time! It is a great opportunity to see the latest innovations in karts and equipment and talk to factory reps.

The Expo seminar program includes the following topics. Additional subjects may be added. Seminar dates and times, will be announced in the January, 2001 Kart Expo Update column.

Oval Kart Set-up by John Nuttall, Raceway Kart Association
