THE ‘BOS’ CONTINUES WINNING
WAYS IN DOMINATING FASHION
“The competition at Carson City was really tough so the results we had were great,” said Boswell, ’03 SKUSA S1 Champion. “With names like White, Speed, Sciuto, Elliott, Martin & Vorrath you have to be on target. I felt like we were pretty close out of the box but we changed the gearing almost every session to get it right.” Boswell’s feat was even more impressive considering the team had not received their race engine until Friday morning. While Wesley handled all the chassis tuning duties on his Birel CR32SP, his father Wally went to work on keeping the motor tuned giving them a true “father & son” racing experience that pro-level karting rarely sees now-a-days. “At the SuperNats last year we had the help of Birel tuners and MRP Motorsports left and right,” said Boswell. “For this event it was just Dad and I and being able to learn from the best really helped us both so I have to thank MRP and the Birel team for their technical support.” Next on the agenda for Boswell is to spend the remainder of June to assist teaching numerous MRP shifterkart schools and Summer Camps at both MRP school locations. Boswell will be an intricate part of selecting possible 2005 MRP Birel race team candidates. For more information on

MAJOR MUSIC CHARITY SEARCHES
FOR SPONSOR TO DONATE RACING GO KARTS
With the support of over 50 major music celebrities who have supported or stood behind the charity over the past, including the likes of Keith Richards, Christina Aguilera, Billy Joel, Michelle Branch, No Doubt, and on, Instruments for the Youth is headed in yet another direction. This according to the charities creator and director, Atlanta music veteran Michael Malott. Malott is now leading his charity organization into the world of motorsports, and Malott is currently trying to find a sponsor to provide the charity organization with a racing go-kart. The car will not only be driven by Malott, but also guest celebrity drivers. The donation of the go-kart would also be tax deductible. In another move further supporting the charities intent on getting comfortable in this forum, Instruments for the Youth has now announced that they will also be hosting an exotic auto and limo show in Atlanta in September. The event will include trophies being awarded to various categories and the highlight of the event is sure to be the children’s and adult class tricycle grand prix. The event is being done as a fundraiser for the charity. Instruments for the Youth provides free musical instruments to underprivileged children, and produces music clinics for kids hosted by celebrity guest artists. The charities Children’s Rock N’ Dream Foundation works to arrange for celebrity visits to children’s hospitals. Malott felt that he did not want to limit his organization to the restraints of just the music industry exclusively. The charity just released two successful compilation albums featuring top recording artists including former Police guitarist, Andy Summers, Grammy Winning jazz guitarist, Pat Martino, Poncho Sanchez, Ernie Watts, Jefferson Starship guitarist, Craig Chaquico and others. Malott has always had an interest in racing and wanted to see his organization get more actively involved in the automobile racing industry. “I’d love to drive Formula Grand Prix, but karts are a great way for me to accomplish some of my goals while furthering the efforts of the charity in a whole fresh, new direction” states Malott. Adding that with karts that they actually have a shot at lining up a sponsor or company to contribute a kart to the charity. They are currently approaching more motorsports companies and manufacturers, but have been unsuccessful so far in obtaining a sponsor. They are offering a great long term sponsorship package including multiple future events. Anyone interested in sponsorship
or partial sponsorship, or a considerable non-profit discount on a kart
should contact the organizations director, Michael Malott directly at (770)
971-6738.
