FUN TIMES

THINK SAFETY… ALWAYS!

Technological advances in recent years have enabled kart manufacturers to produce a new generation of improved fun and off-road karts, powered by engines that run 70% cleaner than 1990 models.

There are many different types of clean-running karts that make karting safer, care-convenient and enjoyable. And everyone benefits in the long-run—not only from the cleaner air, but also from the efficiency and increased durability and safety.

Respect the kart— Remember it is a powerful piece of machinery. Using it carelessly could place the operator or others in the area at risk for serious harm or injury. Read and follow owner’s manual instructions. If you do not understand something in the owners manual, call your dealer for an explanation. They will be more than happy to answer your concerns.

Remember these easy steps for operation your Fun Kart with safety in mind.

Know how to operate your equipment—
Read the owner’s manual before using the kart. Know where the controls are located and their function. Follow safety instructions.

Dress properly—
Wear long pants, sturdy shoes, a helmet with a face shield. Don’t wear anything that can get caught in moving parts (loose jewelry, clothing with hanging strings, scarves, etc.; be especially careful of long hair – be sure it is tucked beneath the helmet.)

Handle gasoline carefully—
Fill the engine before you start, while the engine is cold. Don’t spill when you fill. Store gasoline in an approved container in a cool, ventilated area. Never smoke around gasoline.

Clear the area before you start—
Pick up rocks, twigs, cans and toys—anything that could be run over or thrown by the kart.

Keep children and pets away from riding area—
Never allow children to drive without proper instruction and safety gear (helmet, etc,) and clothing, etc. Never carry children, pets or anyone in your lap. Only allow two in a kart if the kart is designed for two.

Operate the kart carefully and follow recommended procedures—
Always turn off the engine before attempting to work on the kart. When leaving the kart unattended, turn off and remove the key (if any).

Keep hands and feet away from moving parts—
Never work on the kart while it is running. Never remove or tamper with safety devices and labels… they’re provided to protect you and your family.

BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN!
