TECUMSEH EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Since about 95% of all U.S.-manufactured fun kart have Tecumseh engines, we thought it would be of interest to inform fun kart dealers and distributors of a special education program organized by Tecumseh Products.

FOUR-DAY PROGRAM
Tecumseh has worked with their distributor education team to develop a completely updated factory-level school program. This program has been engineered to meet the needs of today’s dealers and the technicians they employ.

A commitment has been made to provide more four-day schools through their Tecumseh Network Support Distributors. Using their facilities, the course is the equivalent to that of being educated at one of their factory facilities. This extensive hand-on program is now available in the USA and Canada through their regional Tecumseh distributors.

The following program outline will give you a taste of what can be expected from these classes. At the end of the four-day session, testing will be offered in both Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) and Tecumseh Master Technician (TMT) certifications. We suggest that you contact your Tecumseh sales person about the special benefits that are a part of being TMT certified. All certifications stay with the technician and dependent on your level of proficiency should increase your value to the dealership.

2-Cycle Engine Theory and hands on covering TC, HSK and AV Products

DAY TWO
4-cycle Overview – L-Head and Overhead Valve
LEV Teardown/Re-assembly
OHH Enduro Teardown/Rebuild and Running Adjustments

DAY THREE
Enduro TVT Teardown/Re-assembly
Fuel Systems, New Emissions
Carburetors
Electrical/Charging Systems

DAY FOUR
Failure Analysis
Warranty Procedures
Transaxle Teardown/Re-assembly
MST, 800 Series
LTH and VST Overview
