Brister produces the finest quality and most durable product available on the market today. Because of that fact, BDM is the only kart manufacturer to warrant its product for a full year.

HOT GRAPHICS PACKAGES
Make no mistake, these are BDM Karts and they don't mind showing everyone. BDM has worked closely on the design and style of the graphic packages on all our Karts. These decals have special UV coatings and glues to prevent fading and peeling for years.

FULL BRUSH CAGES
The full brush cages provide protection for the driver and passenger against low-hanging tree limbs, bushes and wires. Additionally, the cages provide some protection from running under stationary objects. It should be noted that these brush cages should never be taken off the karts and you should check the fasteners often to make sure you get the full benefit of the brush cages. Again, please do not remove the brush cage.

3-POINT SAFETY RESTRAINTS
All BDM karts are equipped with 3-point safety restraints. Both the driver and passenger should wear "Seat Belts". This feature is to keep you securely in your seat while riding, when properly fastened. Please do not remove the safety restraints, they are provided for your protection. All BDM seat restraints meet or exceed AFKA & ASTM Fun Kart standards. ALWAYS BUCKLE UP!!!

KEY SWITCH - PARENTAL CONTROL
With the added benefit of a key switch instead of a simple on/off switch, BDM has provided for your child's safety as well as a security benefit for your kart. If you do not want your child, or anyone else, to ride the kart when you are not around, take the key out. The key must be in the switch and turned to the "on" position before you can start the engine. The key also acts as an emergency cut-off switch when you are riding (just turn the key to the "off" position). This feature should not be taken off the kart. If it is taken off, you not only loose the security feature, you no longer have an engine ignition cut-off feature.

ELECTRIC START MODELS
As with the Key Switch-Parental Control above, you must have a key to start this kart. Not only do you have the safety and security features mentioned above, but also now we have added convenience. Just jump in, turn the key and hit the trails for your ultimate off-road adventure.

DELUXE SEATS
You are no longer going coach. On this ride, everyone gets a first-class window seat. Comfort is the name of the game and we have provided the ultimate in seating for your adventure.

FINGER-TIP ADJUSTABLE SEATS
Short or tall, if you are brave enough to ride it, we have made it so that "one size fits all" at the touch of a finger. Just pull the lever, adjust the seat to your driving comfort and enjoy...

THROTTLE OVERRIDE SYSTEM (PATENTED)
Yes, BDM has thought of everything. When you press the brake pedal, even if you don't take your foot off the gas, the engine will go to an idle speed and the kart will stop. The emergency response of a child, and some adults, is to press both pedals and hold on. From the entry-level to the most advanced level karts, they have provided this feature standard for your protection.

CLUTCH LUBE SYSTEM (PATENTED)
the "Brister Lube Clutch System" is made to replace the generic centrifugal clutch. BDM has provided the means (standard grease gun fitting on clutch) to properly lubricate a centrifugal clutch, from the inside out. (Not the old fashioned way! - Oil was sprayed or poured on the outside of the clutch before each use then every two hours and when you stored the kart.) That's an awful lot of work. With the "Clutch Lube System" you grease the clutch prior to each use in sandy conditions, or every 20 hours of regular use.

AUTOMATIC CHAIN ADJUSTERS
a chain will loosen up over time. That's a given. The chain adjuster on the entry-level karts is an idler pulley system designed to keep the chain tight and prevent it from slipping off the sprocket. Simple...yet very effective. Oh! By the way all BDM karts use heavy-duty "pre-stretched" #420 motorcycle style roller chain.

FULL SUSPENSION PACKAGE
BDM's superior designed fully independent front suspension and dual pivot rear swing arm package with adjustable shock absorbers, equal an enjoyable ride. All engines are mounted to a frame and not the suspension for longer engine life. Now...this is a true advanced-level kart that will take you anywhere you want to go in comfort.

DRUM OR DISC BRAKES
The band-to-drum brakes on the entry-level karts provide ultimate stopping benefits on flat surfaces. The disc brakes provided on the intermediate and advanced karts provide the added stopping benefits needed for the rougher terrain.

TORQUE CONVERTER DRIVE SYSTEMS
Over the valley and through the hills...if that's where you are going, you need a Torque Converter drive system. Provides higher torque at demand times, then automatically adjusts to lower torque and more speed. Most torque converters provide from 3 to 1 to 1 to 1 speed ratios. The system works like an automatic transmission.

11 GAUGE WELDED STEEL FRAME CONSTRUCTION
All BDM Karts are constructed using the 11 Gauge HREW steel tubing and heavy-duty plate steel attachments. All BDM Karts frames are MIG welded in stationary frame jigs to maintain frame tolerances. All BDM Karts are durable and built to last.

DURABLE POLYURETHANE POWDER PAINT
To protect our karts beauty against the elements for years to come, each kart is put through a three-phase phosphate wash system and then each kart is electro static coated with durable "Oven Cured" polyurethane powder paint.
