A SELLER’S DUTY TO MAKE A PROFIT!
By Darrell Sitarz A number of “sellers” in the karting industry have an attitude that the LOWEST price is the best price and that a sale at any price is it own justification. The attitude implies that a dealer offering products for sale at any price higher than the lowest price available from any and all competitors is somehow taking advantage of, defrauding, cheating or otherwise unethically abusing his or her customers. This belief fails to recognize or even consider that the customer’s best interests are served by buying products from dealers who are profitable not just at the time of sale, but well into the future. It ignores important values to the customer such as product and parts availability, timeliness of delivery or repair, reliability of service, expert advice, satisfaction, prestige, peace of mind, comfort, convenience and safety. Every seller has a DUTY
to make a profit!
All these things are owed
to all of these people, and it’s PROFIT that makes it happen.
