The Karting Industry Council
invites manufacturers, importers, distributors and dealers to join and
become part of growing the kart racing industry.
Established in 1973 and
comprised of businesses involved with manufacturing, distribution, importing/exporting
and reselling karting-related products, the Karting Industry Council (KIC)
is the oldest and largest independent trade association for the sport in
North America.
KIC’s goal is a simple
one — to Promote Karting Through Leadership. With its aggressive national
marketing and promotion program, KIC hopes to focus attention on what has
been called “The World’s Most Popular Motorsport”. The objective — to give
karting the credibility is long deserves.
In addition, as an independent
organization, KIC can offer an objective view to all sanctioning organizations,
both domestic and international.
Whether you are large
or small, well known or brand new to the industry, your company can benefit
from the knowledge and experience of the Karting Industry Council. By supporting
KIC, you can become a part of a collective and unified effort to help promote
and grow the sport of kart racing.
KIC’s MISSION STATEMENT
The Karting Industry
Council is a non-profit trade organization comprised of karting industry
leaders to:
1. Provide leadership
within the kart racing industry
2. Create programs to
increase public awareness of the sport
3. Be of service to the
sports’ sanctioning bodies to promote the industry
4. Emphasize programs,
activities and information to achieve high quality standards and business
ethics within the industry
5. Provide training programs
and business resources for its members

KIC’s bi-monthly newsletter
brings you news from within the karting industry, helpful business-related

Advertising—
Another advantage to
KIC members is the opportunity to participate in their national advertising
campaign. This program allows a company to include its literature in the
karting information packet that is sent to those who respond to numerous
ads that KIC runs from time to time in automotive and motorsports-related
publications.
Trade shows—
The Karting Industry
Council participates in a number of trade shows promoting the sport of
kart racing. By being a member, a company is also exhibiting in the sense
that its literature is displayed for distribution in the colorful KIC booth.
Another member benefit, which alone is worth the cost of membership.
Video—
KIC has again produced
a short 8-minute promotional video titled “Introduction to the Exciting
World of Karting”. This video is ideal for karting dealers (available in
loop form for in-store or trade show promotion) to help educate potential
customers. A copy of the video is sent to new members and is available
for bulk purchase.
Meetings—
KIC holds quarterly board
meetings at various locations around the USA. In addition, an annual membership
meeting is usually held during on of the annual major karting shows.

A. To promote a cordial
business relationship between the consumer and the industry.
B. To avoid conflicts
of interest in business whenever possible
C. To provide the customer
with as much information as possible, to provide for the proper use of
the products purchased and have a sense of personal obligation to each
customer
D. To ship products within
a timely manner and resolve claims promptly
E. To develop proper
business guidelines
F. To support products
sold with a sense of personal obligation
G. To promote KIC whenever
possible
